Homeowners and Residents Have New, Low-Cost Choice for Drinking Water Testing
May 20, 2019
When it comes to protecting public health, ensuring the safety of drinking water is a top priority for Summit County Public Health (SCPH). In 2018, the SCPH Water Quality Laboratory expanded the type of services provided for drinking water analysis to residents and businesses.
The laboratory is certified by the Ohio EPA for chemical and microbiological analysis of drinking water. SCPH provides timely, accurate, and affordable testing for local residents and businesses, as well as, schools and daycare centers.
SCPH staff can provide sampling, water analysis and completion of reports, as required for public water system compliance, including electronic EPA reporting with quick, consistent turnaround times.
Homeowners and residents using these low-cost drinking water testing services will receive a full report along with an explanation of the test results. SCPH staff is available to provide an unbiased assessment of your water quality and to provide further information on available references and treatment options.
The SCPH laboratory offers a variety of water testing services, including tests for bacteria, lead, copper, arsenic, and nitrates/nitrites. For a detailed listing of services please visit us online at scph.org/waterlab.
